Corporate Photography -- New Canaan Business Photography

I had the great opportunity (while on vacation in TX) to photograph my brother's orthodontic practice. It was such a different experience than photographing children's portraits. It turns out that getting adults to smile naturally is just as challenging as getting kids to smile! I set up studio lighting for traditional headshots on a grey background and also took portraits of them working.

lizzie, izzie + james: everyday CUTE | New Canaan Product Photography

This darling New Canaan-based hair accessory business just opened an online shop and we are SO excited and honored to be their product photographers!  Last Saturday we spent the morning taking head shots of little children (our specialty!) and these darling clips, headbands and crowns.  It sure was busy, but boy was it fun!

I think Sherryl, founder of Lizzie, Izzie + James, summed up the day well in her post from Dreamers into Doers:

"2 Mommy models + 17 kid models (ages ranging from 8 months to 10 years) + 2 photographers + 98 Lizzie, Izzie + James products = a full morning running on coffee, doughnuts, juice boxes and lots and lots of toys!

That's how our day went over the weekend when we took headshot photos of some of our products. I said, "some" because we didn't even take pictures of all of them. Can you imagine the chaos if we did? Our photographers, Jamie Handy and Lillian Hoyt did such a wonderful job. They took turns taking the photos (around 25 shots for each child wearing each product) and when one wasn't behind the camera, they were armed and ready with puppets, books, balloons and lollipop bribes. The result were happy kids behind the camera and boy, do we love those smiles!"

Little boy "J"

There is nothing better than a beautiful day, and today is the best we have had here in what feels like years (but has only been 4 or 5 months). So it was a lot of fun to take this little boys portraits today. Today we set up the "studio" part in the garage as the weather was so nice and then I got to follow this busy boy all around as he explored throughout the yard. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of his picture memories!

Oh, my goodness, I cannot get enough of this sweet little nine-day-old infant girl. Baby A was so, so good for her very first photo shoot and I couldn't just pick a few to show you. Thank you to the R family for letting me spend the afternoon with you. I am so happy for you and your perfect little addition!

We are excited for our upcoming Portrait Party!  This March we celebrate our ONE YEAR anniversary of our very first Portrait Party.  Wow!  It has been such an enjoyable year and we've loved getting to know all of you and your sweet, sweet families.  We love looking back through our website and seeing all of your portraits.
