August Portrait Party | New Canaan Photographer

A preview of a few favorite images of these three handsome brothers.  The M family happens to be some good friends of my family.  It was a real treat to photograph them all together.   Oh, and their mommy was one of the winners of our Grand Opening contest last month! So she redeemed her two free sessions!


It only took a minute with handsome Mr. A to realize I captured some sweet faces.  You are such a good looking little guy!  Thanks for being so kind to my camera!

This little girl was the cutest ever.  She loved our props and playing with all the toys (especially the tea set) but she sure resisted smiling.  Fortunately she is gorgeous even with her serious expression!

Summer is winding down. Kids start school soon. Fall is in the air. Already?! We can't believe it either. But at the same time we love this season. And we want you to be a little more prepared for it.

We're excited to announce a special Family Portrait Party. It takes place Saturday, October 2th, 2010 at the New Canaan Historical Society grounds on 13 Oenoke Ridge in New Canaan from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  See images of the D family shot at the grounds.

We are scheduling 20 minute sessions to capture images of the entire family. Think: Christmas and Holiday cards! We want to help you get them done early and be the first to send cards out to your friends.

2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Cost for 20 minute session is $100
Plus $25 donation to the New Canaan Historical Society for use of their beautiful grounds

Package includes a disc with 20 images.

Here is a sneak peek for the D family of two fun brothers. Big brother D was a little hesitant to get his pictures at first, but I made him my personal assistant and gave him a camera of his own to click away with while I took his little brother's portraits. That perked him up and we got some great images of them both!

Sometimes kids are shy at first to sit in front of the camera.   Jamie and I are sensitive to this. We are prepared with lots of tricks up our sleeves to help them get comfortable so we can get plenty of good, happy images of your children. We have lots of practice since we are moms ourselves!

Looking for ways to print your Portrait Party images?  Here's a new one!  Remember these designs of Miss E and baby S?  These were ordered in 20x20 inch floatwraps to hang in their bedrooms.  Aren't they so pretty?

Did you know you can book either Jamie or Lillian for personalized family portrait sessions?  It's true!  Most of the images you see on this website are from our Portrait Parties, which is the majority of our business.  However, we do offer a very limited number of on location family sessions.  Jamie and Lillian are busy moms of busy kids and wives to busy husbands, so that is our main focus.  But we love photography and love to share our visions with you! 

If you are interested in booking either Lillian or Jamie for a personalized location session, email them for available dates and pricing.  But book soon, because availability is limited!

These are just a few images from a session with the D family at the beautiful New Canaan Historical Society grounds.  Lots of space for little Miss K and Miss H to run around in between pictures.  They are just adorable and you can see other images from our portrait parties of them here and here.  The D family are dear friends of mine.  You really won't meet more kind people on this planet than Mr. and Mrs. D.

Here are just a few images of the Q family from this weekend when the entire family was together.  Their son, N, is leaving this week for two years to be a missionary in a Spanish-speaking country, so this was a special time for them to be together.  I felt honored to be a part of their family's weekend.  Thank you Q family!  You really are all very beautiful people!






I'm pretty sure they all thought I was a little crazy when I busted out these props, but I must say I love the way this image turned out!  I first saw this idea on my very creative friend, Liz's blog and then again on another blog, and really wanted to give it a try.  I think it's hilarious!  (And I really, really hope the Q family thinks so, too.)

Print Ideas | New Canaan Children's Photographers

I just ordered these prints for my daughter's room and am happy with the way they turned out in this frame.  I thought I'd share in case you need some inspiration for what to do with your Portrait Parties images.  Even though you have seen lots of images of Miss E recently, as I've said before I have nooo bias whatsoever toward my beautiful, precious, gorgeous, perfect, adorable, sweet, lovely little 18 month old.  No bias at all....




The frame is Ribba from Ikea for $9.99.   The 5x7 prints I ordered through our professional lab, which we'll have information about on our website soon!  In the meantime, contact Lillian (email address on the sidebar) if you are interested in ordering prints through us.
